About the Experience
Lift 109 is a visitor experience located inside the historic Battersea Power Station. Guests begin their journey in Turbine Hall A, exploring a gallery space that tells the story of the Power Station through interactive exhibits. The experience includes the Infinity Room, which features lighting effects and audio narration.
The highlight of the visit is a panoramic glass lift that takes guests up one of the building’s iconic chimneys, offering stunning 360-degree views of London.
1. Physical & Mobility Access
Step-Free Access
Due to the unique design of the panoramic lift inside the chimney, guests will need to go up and down a flight of stairs during the experience.

We understand that some guests may require a step-free route. An Accessibility Lift is available to bypass the stairs.
The accessibility lift can be reserved by guests who require step-free access and cannot use or may struggle with climbing up and down 39 steps.
This includes:
- Wheelchair users
- Guests with mobility challenges
Each reservation is limited to 2 people, which can include:
- A maximum of 1 wheelchair user
- 1 carer or companion (carers are included in the total)
- Or up to 2 guests who both require step-free access

Upon arrival, show your lift confirmation at the welcome desk to receive a green wristband. This signals to our guest experience hosts that you require assistance.
Wheelchair Users

Standard wheelchairs can be used throughout the experience.

Maximum wheelchair dimensions: 115 cm x 65 cm.

Maximum combined weight (user + wheelchair): 300 kg.
Mobility Scooters

Mobility scooters are not permitted inside Lift 109.

Queuing and Standing

2. Visitors with Neurodivergent or Sensory Needs
Overview
Some parts of the experience include bright visuals and sound effects. There are no strobe lights, but pulsing and flickering lights are used in some areas.
Guest experience hosts can adjust sound levels where possible and are trained to provide support or quiet space if needed.

3. Hard of Hearing Guests

4. Blind or Partially Sighted Guests

Guide Dogs

Certified Assistance Dogs are welcome in accordance with Assistance Dogs UK standards.

5. Medical Needs
Food and Drink

Guests may bring sealed food or drinks required for medical reasons.

Medical Equipment

If you need to bring large or specialist medical equipment, please notify us in advance so we can make appropriate arrangements. Items such as EpiPens, insulin injections, and similar essentials are permitted, though they may be subject to a brief security check upon entry.

6. Carers and Companions

8. Evacuation Information
In the event of an evacuation, our trained team will guide all guests to safety.
Lift 109 is located within a multi-storey building. For guests who are unable to use the stairs, designated refuge points are available throughout the building. These are secure, fire-resistant areas where you can wait safely until assisted evacuation can take place.
Our team members are trained to assist visitors. During an evacuation, they will:
